We arrived at phi phi within two hours, the scramble for the bags was immense luckily our bags were at the bottom of the pile so we knew we could wait till the end to obtain them and sat comfortably until the rush was over. After a few changs on the boat I was quite happy to watch the others scramble and get frustrated whilst they fought against the back packs to obtain theirs.
We collected our bags and departed the ferry and paid the pier fee(20 baht)
The tourist police met us and guided us to the correct resort porter.
The fella who met us was shorter than me and half the build, but insisted he would carry both our packs, a short walk off the pier and he dumped our packs into a trolley and explained that there was no motor vehicle on phi phi and our resort was only 15 minutes walk away.
We stomped through the Market at a great pace then finally reached a set of concrete steps up the hill side. the little fella passed me dani's hand luggage and insisted on carrying our packs. I watched in amazement as he stuck mine on his back and dani's on his head balanced!!! And shouted let's go! The steps must of been 100 steps and half way up I was knackered! We reached the top I was fooked, dani was two minutes behind but the man carrying 30 kilos wasn't out of breath at all we were welcomed with a drink an amazing view and the sound of crickets
Awesomeness was the only word to describe this!!! After 5 minutes to catch our breath we were shown to our room.
