We arrived at Bangkok station by taxi and was advised by information service that our train was on platform 5.
We boarded our train and had a double cabin which was air conditioned and ample for over night.
I was in berth 3(upper)and Dani was in berth 4(lower)
We departed Bangkok at 18:10 and headed for Chiang Mai, we had waitress service which layed on fresh fruit, tea, coffee evening meal, breakfast and more importantly Beer.
The evening meal consisted of Thai soup which looked and tasted like old dish water, rice and chicken stirfry!
The porter came and made our beds in the cabin at 8:00
The journey was smooth and I was able to get a good nights sleep, dani however didn't!
Our waitress and porter arrived in the morning to supply us with our breakfast and make the beds again.
The breakfast was Thai again, two fried eggs, Ham, sausage, and once again salad!
The time is now 9:30 dani is asleep on my lap and I'm looking forward to a nice shower in our hotel when we arrive.
