well, this is all a bit retrospective, but here we go. These are updates reflecting how i felt at the time... Delhi is not a nice place!unfortunantly the center where my hotel is has been reduced to a bomb site by the creation of the metro. it is impossible to leave the hotel without being harrassed continually and I felt total appalling with cold for the first 48 hours. Eventually i decided to accept that i couldn't actually do anything i wanted in delhi and to go with the flow. the nationa museum was great though. my carefully planned sightseeing tour (i had abandoned the plan to go on the walking tour!) didn't happen cos that's not what my rickshaw driver wanted, but he did take me to a very nice place (huyaman's tomb - will correct spellings at some point) and then right to the very south of dehli to the quar monument. Then he wanted to take me to his uncles shop... so i did the noble girly thing and bursted into tears cos i wasn't very well. this resulted in a very high speed trip right across delhi in a shaky autorickshaw at top speed. just a little scarey really. also sorry pushpa, i have to report nirula's like most of connaugt place is suffering from faded glory and so i went to costa coffee for my cappincino instead
