Today we had a little wander around Miraflores-getting ready for Neen's birthday Then we all headed off to the airport to catch our flight to Juliaca. We cut it a bit fine to say the least - we werethe last people on the plane 10 minutes before take off The flight was interesting to say the least - a tad bit bumpy over the Andes. We landed in Juliaca and then took our bus to Puno - which is at 3800m above sea level this is where we needed to acclimatize. We arrived at our hotel about 4.30pm and the two flights of stairs made life very hard on the breathing front!!! Not the nicest feeling. That night we head out for dinner in Puno with the group - with people trying alsort of peruvian specialities - raw fish, alpacha & guinea pig. We had a nice chocolate cake to top off the meal for Yolande's birthday.
