On the 27th we headed off to look at the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest. The Canyon is amazing we went about half way up and got some amazing views of miles and miles of africa. Its quite a deep gorge. We visited a really nice falls called Mac Mac falls which had a lovely rainbow effect over the water. Early start today at 7am we went off to the Kruger National Park to see if we would be lucky enough to see what is known as the Big 5 - elephants, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopards. A first time visit for Jacqui & Neen - the park is the size of Wales!!! We choose the southern end of the park for our Game hunt. How lucky we would be. We had a gruelling 8 hour trip to get from Howick to Hazyview our next destination. The roads are not the greatest - lots and lots of pot hole!!!! Saturday 20th saw us head off to the Mall for a bit of retail therapy. We were looking for a pair of shoes for Euge but managed to buy everything but!! 19th January we headed off back to Howick to stay with Uncle Peter and Anica again. We came back to Howick via a few tourist spots - the place where Winston Churchill was captured and Fort Dunford in Escourt. We had a lovely lunch at a country house called Granny Mouse's.
