On the 27th we headed off to look at the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest. The Canyon is amazing we went about half way up and got some amazing views of miles and miles of africa. Its quite a deep gorge. We visited a really nice falls called Mac Mac falls which had a lovely rainbow effect over the water. Pilgrim's rest is one of the original gold mining towns which has been kept as an old fashioned town. It is very quaint. We ventured out for dinner this evening to a place called Tree Tops. We ate on a balcony which has a tree growing through it with candles hanging off the trees. It was very pretty and the food was excellent.
On the 28th we headed off for a drive again around the Blyde River Canyon - saw lots of pretty water falls and travelled over some very high mountains passes. The views where not so good due to the mist! Our room at the house had an outdoor shower so we gave that a go!! Interesting
