We arrived at the house we rented in Milnerton on the 20th Feb. We spent the day settling in and catching up on the sunbathing. Saturday 17th saw us head off to Somerset West to stay with friends of Jacqui's family. Graham and Debbie. Graham is one of the son's of a very good friend of Jacqui's Mum and Dad Paul Owen. We drove down Scenic Route 62 which gave us some stunning scenery. Well worth a drive. Along the way we stopped off at a restuarant for lunch called the Old Gaol. The building used to be a jail. Today we headed off to Oudtshoorn via Knysna where Neen had a nice stop for some oysters!! He loved it said they were not as good as the ones you get in Ireland!!! In the afternoon we headed off to Cango Caves and took the standard tour. Neen wanted to do the adventure tour but it involved too much crawling and fitting through small gaps for Jacqui It was amazing the first chamber used to be used for concerts it is that big. On the 15th we drove 3 hours to Tsitsikamma National park to stay at Storms River Mouth. This park is right on the sea front and is pretty spectacular. We went on a small cruise up the storms river for 30 minutes and then decided to go over the suspension bridge to a look out point. It was quite a steep climb and boy was it hot. Today, 14th we drove 4 hours to Addo Elephant Park in the Eastern Cape. Because of a cooked breakfast none of us felt like lunch so we headed off in to the bush to search for lions and elephants. Wait till you see the pictures of the elephants. We went to a waterhole and about 20 elephants decided to walk down to have a drink - they came right by our car.
