On the 14th we headed off to catch our ferry to Picton in the South Island. The ferry crossing was amazing - spectacular views going through the Queen Charlotte Sounds. We arrived in Picton and headed off to our accomodation a little bit out of town over looking the bay and marina. The place we stayed was like a home from home.

On the 15th we headed off on a walk to Queen Charlotte View - 3 hours and it was pretty cold - Jacqui was glad to get back to the open fire to warm up her toes We had a nice night in with some homemade bread and some Soup.
