On the 9th we headed off up to the Tongario National Park - hoping to stay over and do a day walk but the day walk we wanted to do was covered in snow!! Winter months are not good for mountain walks unless guided We headed up to see as much of the Mt Raphaue as possible. Then we headed off to Lake Taupo were we went on a small explore to see the Huka Waterfalls and the thermal power station. We headed off for a Thai dinner that evening and boy did it bring back memories.
