On the 2nd we got up early ish but the weather was still foggy so we went for a short walk to view the Fox Glacier but due to the rain we couldn't got all the way to the face. On the 30th we set off for the Fox Glacier. The drive was nice but again we were hit by the fog and this time rain so the Haast Pass was not as stunning as it could of been. We arrive late in the afternoon so we checked into a motel and had a nice night in - Jacqui cooked steak and blue cheese mushrooms mmmmmm

We got up early today to head off to get on a morning cruise. It was great we did a 2.5 hour cruise up the sound and the weather had cleared for most of it. Well it did still rain but considering they have 200 rainy days a year and 7 m of rain we were not surprised!!!!! We saw lots of water falls, dolphins and fur seals. Today we drove down from Queenstown to Te Anau - getting ready to go to Milford Sound from here. We headed off ona tour of Te Anau glow worm caves. The trip included a boat curise acorss Te Anau lake and then we had a walk around the caves - which were very noisy as they have a huge river flowing through them. Then we got in a small boat and headed off into the Glowworm grotto which was very dark - but we saw thousands of glowworms handing from the rocks face...

On the 25th we headed off on the short trip to Queenstown. On the way down we stopped off at the originally bungy jump site and watched a few mad people dive off the bridge and get dunked in the icey cold water!!!!! Brrrrrrr. Once we got to Queenstown we wandered around the shops for a while looking at more warm clothes We found a lovely hotel up on the ridge overlooking the lake at Queenstown and the price was a steal so we were very happy.
