Our Year in Australia
Sunday, July 13:
The wind woke us up early and made packing up that much more difficult. There was definitely a storm brewing so we got on the road and fought the wind all the way to Alice Springs. The rain started about 200 km North of Alice Springs and didn't stop all night! It was 6 degrees when we pulled into the G'Day Mate Caravan Park and set up the tent in the rain. After a quick shower it was off to the Heavitree Tavern for dinner and the reptile show (again). We ran back to the tent in the rain and got snuggled in for a wet, cold night in the tent. At least we were far off of the wet ground! Looking forward to making the drive out to Uluru tomorrow to see what Ayers Rock has in store for us.
