After the flight to Mitchell Falls we went to a free camp called Barnet river gorge. We walked into the gorge and me,will and dad walked down the gorge looking at all the waterholes that had little waterfalls from waterhole to waterhole. The next day we drove to Manning Gorge. We had a short walk to an awesome waterfall called Galvans Gorge that had a rope swing and a pretty high place to jump. The water got cold once we stayed in for a long time. When we got back to the caravan we went down to a river and had a swim in it. We also played in a boat that you pull yourself across the river in.
The next day, Monday, we went on a 1 hour walk to Manning gorge. We crossed the river in the boat and then started the walk. The walk was pretty easy but at the end there was a few rocky, steep hills. When we got to the water fall we climbed over some rocks to find a place to put our stuff. When we got in we swam across over to the other side near the water fall. The water was cold but the water fall was awesome and high. There was heaps of rocks to jump off and me and dad jumped off the top of the waterfall. It was the highest jump we've ever done. After we had lunch we had another swim and then we walked back to the boat that goes across the river. We put all our stuff in the boat and dad and Lachie hopped in and pulled it across while me, Mum and Will swam across to cool down.
