Buenos Aries is a wonderful city. It is so vibrant and very large. I walked most of the many districts and felt by the end of my stay I had walked a marathon if not more. This is the place to come to see Southern Right Whales and we certainly did that. It was totally amazing. There were so many and really close to the boat. They are huge. I thought there were 2 because the tail was so far from the head but no it was just one really big whale. They have white crustaceans on their head which are unique to each one. One of them swam about a foot under the boat, at one point you could see the head on one side and the tail on the other...

This town is beautiful. It has a huge lake framed by snow capped mountains. Houses climb down the mountain banks to the lake edge. Our hostel was on the 10th floor and the views were sensational, especially the sunsets. The town is lovely to wander round - little cafés, bars restaurants and lets not forget chocolate shops. Mendoza is wonderful. I really liked it here. It is the centre of one of the most important wine regions in Argentina. It is also a lovely little city. It has lots of cafés, bars, restaurants and a nice park with a large lake to stroll around. It was colder here but the sun was still shining.
