We took our last Viazul bus complete with a driver who looked like a villain from a Bond movie - when he smiled he exposed his teeth of gold!!!!!!We met Ally and Clare on the bus - 2 Brits also coming to the end of their Cuba travels.We ended up having one of the best meals of the trip with them.They were also kind enough to donate local currency to our reducing pot of money.This provided much needed peso food - local food stalls which sell amazing pizzas. On arrival to Cienfuegos we were chuffed to find out our taxi was a Vintage Black Chevy with red leather seats.It was way cool and we felt like the bees knees all the way to the Casa.The Casa was strange; the owners had a fascination with plastic animals.There were crabs, lizards, crocodiles, frog (you name it) hiding all over the garden.The only real animal was the turtle swimming in the pool.I'm not sure way I had no fear but I can only put it down to the heat....

We had real tribulations getting here.Went we arrived in Camaguey we had tried to purchase bus tickets but were told this was impossible we would have to turn up on the day an hour before the bus and then we would be able to get tickets.We arrived at the appointed hour to be told we could not buy tickets until the bus had arrived and they knew how many seats were available.You may be wondering at this moment how wonderful my Spanish must be getting for me to unde...

This city is the Cuban Venice.It has winding streets which were designed to keep the pirates and the Brits out - what are they trying to say?The city was very small but nice to wander around.We were lucky to be here for Easter.We went to mass on Easter Sunday.It was in Spanish so it was hard to follow but it was a lovely atmosphere.I loved the bit where you offer the sign of peace and everyone left their seats to hug or kiss anyone they knew anywhere in the churc...
