Day 1, The Travel

So the day has finally arrive - after our 289 day countdown the day we travel to Bali is here woohoo!!
Picked up at 10:15am this morning by the airport shuttle - a little bit early but they had to drop a couple at the cruise ship- wife felt carsick the whole trip in unfortunately and daughter wasn't great either but luckily no one vomitted.
Arrived at airport early at around 12 and our flight wasn't till 4:30! We got plenty of time so we get some stuff done early like duty free and all other bits.
Flight left on time which was great and we arrived at Denpasar airport at around 8:45pm ( great time ) stoked that we arrived early and a swift run thru immigration only to be held up for nearly 2 hours awaiting our luggage UGH! That's certainly put a dampener on what was really a great trip over .
Luckily our transport drivers were waiting patiently even though we are 2 hours late, and because there are 10 of us (2 adults 3 children and the same with our travel companion family) and the street where we are going is small they brought 4 small cars which is quite funny because they have 2 people for each car so there were 8 guys waiting for us.
So we arrive at Adi Dharma hotel and to our surprise the rooms we requested were not available ... Feeling pretty livid by this stage but with 3 kids in tow we took what was available and tomorrow we get to try and sort it out .. For now it's goodnigt from us ( 1:08am) very tired
