Next stop, Cobbold Gorge

Cobbold Gorge is located approx 80kms south of Georgetown, and it is actually part of a billion hundred acres (can't remember the exact number, but it was big!) working cattle station.

The main attraction there (apart from the pool....check out the pictures!!) is obviously the gorge.

The owners of the property took us on a tour of their property and showed us not only the gorge (which in some places was only wide enough for the boat to get through...about 2 metres wide), but what, and how to survive/eat off the land. (p.s. don't eat, or even touch, the crab eye berries....deadly!!)

Other activities at the Gorge;

- some swimming in the pool

- the occassional camp fire (best wood in the world there)

- some drinks by the pool, followed by some more swimming in the pool
