Well... our livers did not get as much of a reprieve as they would have hoped last night. Fortunately we did not go mad, but the old Lao whiskey always comes back to bite you in the arse. It does appear to hit the Laura the hardest however, with today being no exception. I woke fairly early as I always seem to after drinking. Many fellow liquor indulgers always comment on how they sleep like a baby after drinking. I however, never get this luxury.
After the cliche post hangover shower I decided to grab us a house coffee and go searching for baguettes. I located the Main Street where there were numerous ladies behind their stalls selling similar wares. You couldn't move for sandwiches, baguettes, crepes, pancakes and shakes. I played the waiting game eyeing the size of consumers sandwiches as they were blissfully unaware of my recon mission and after observing a young man with a very deep filled baguette in hand, I knew I had found what I was looking for. I asked for tuna baguettes and got warm, crusty french bread with lashings of mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce. I negotiated myself through the streets back to the guesthouse post haste, knowing the tuna juices would be seeping into the warm, fluffy bread with every counting second. I am pleased to say the sandwich found its way into Laura's grateful hand without the displeasure of soggy bread. It was amaaaaaaaaaaazing and she was very grateful for the carbs.
We spent the afternoon chilling out, reading and relaxing with movies. Thankfully our room is really quiet and cool and it was just what we needed... Later in the evening I were feeling a bit peckish so I headed out the the local food market.... again seeking out the buffet... Bliss!! It was amazing. Afterwards I was passed stuffed and ready for a long lie down... I passed my little friend with the baguettes on the way home and bought Laura one which again was great fully received.... We spent the evening catching up with friends and Laura spent ages chatting with Lacey (girls eh?)... We then curled up in one of our single beds (we have three), watched a movie and passed out.
