This is the last photo of our blog! We are at the airport in Genoa about to start the journey home. I can't believe we've done it and LOVED it! All the planning and organising was SO worth it! Not sure I'm ready to go home yet!!

Well it rained for about an hour and we all sheltered indoors and now the sun is shining and we are back by the pool. La Dolce Vita!

It's hard to believe but we are nearly at the end of our trip! We're in Camogli and have met up with Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandma (big excitement all round at that reunion!) Camogli is a gorgeous little coastal town in northern Italy (just around the coast from Portofino). It's idyllic with coloured, painted houses and spectacular views! Yet another incredible city ... Florence. Having spent 3 months here 20 years ago (how can it be that long - it feels like yesterday!!!??!) and then been here on our honeymoon 15 years ago (I know?!??!?) it's so lovely to come back here with our children. It's day 11 of our trip and we are in Rome! At the risk of sounding repetitive we have had yet another brilliant day! We went to the Vatican City this morning and saw the cistine chapel and then we did a tour of the colliseum this afternoon! The best thing we have done at all these places is book in advance on line - so no queuing! The tour of the colliseum was also fabulous - we would definitely recommend it - you get special access to the tunnels underneath ...
