We've been busily practicing sailing and motorboat/docking. Everything has been going smoothly, no crashes into the dock or groundings. We're comfortable docking the boat with just Pam and me now. Before we would have a bunch of people standing on the dock, ready to "catch" the boat.
I've been doing a little more engine maintenance. I had a fuel line "banjo" fitting that would always just slowly weep a little fuel. It had been missing a copper compression fitting. Got some from NAPA and now it doesn't leak.
We went to Port Lavaca on Monday. Its a lot bigger town than Palacios. It had a marina that was smaller than ours. Just seeing a different marina and a new town has made us excited to "get on the road" with our boat. I had been thinking that we needed to be more experienced at sailing, anchoring, navigating, etc - but really we just need to be able to motor and dock to be able to head to the next marina.
Michelle came to visit Pam & I, it was fun having her with us and we'll get a few pictures up on our site that she took. She's quite the photographer now.
