We made it to Louisiana! We are happy to say that we have made it to a new state!

We are in Lake Charles,LA. Staying at the Bridge Point Yacht Center. We bought bikes at Walmart, so we are ready to do some exploring on land! Its been great having shore power. We can run our electric heater now, so we shouldn't freeze to death.

We are actually in the city of West Lake, which is on the west side of the Lake. Thats where we ride our bikes. The city or Lake Charles is on the east side. To get to Lake Charles, we'll have to dingy across the Calcasieu River. That'll be fun.

We're going to spend Christmas here. There would be something wrong about spending Christmas anchored out somewhere with the wind blowing 30 knots and us freezing inside the boat... Its sad that we can't be with our family. But we are making friends here and I'm already planning a birthday party for Pam.

P.S. Thanks for the chart plotter Fuzzy! When we were on the last leg to Lake Charles, we had to travel through some thick fog. I was driving by just the chart plotter! Also, we didn't have a chart that went up the Calcasieu River, so the chart plotter saved us again!
