We had two nights in Liverpool after taking the ferry from Belfast. Getting to Liverpool CBD from the ferry terminal turned turned out to be quite fun. On multiple occasions we were offered help with directions - on the condition that we gave them any pounds/pence that we had. We also ran into some 12 year old bogans who uttered expletives about how big my bag was.

After such a wonderful introduction to Liverpool, we made it to our hostel and settled in. I had amazing (and healthy) tacos for dinner, the restaurant even had their own fresh salsas, which were really nice.

On our only full day in Liverpool I went to Anfield for a tour, while Olly stayed in town. It was only a 10 minute bus ride, so despite my atrocious navigational skills, I made it without a disaster. Took the tour, went to the dressing rooms (which have not changed in decades), sat in the manager's chair etc etc. Very exciting.

Off to Birmingham today!
