So, after an uneventful trip from Liverpool, we arrived in Stourbridge, Birmingham. We were fortunate enough to be taken in by Robert and Margaret, and we were very grateful for that.

On our first night there we had our first authentic carvery, which was delicious. The next morning we explored the Cadbury factory, with free liquid dairy milk included (yum!). That afternoon we went shopping in the 'Bull Ring', the main shopping district in Birmingham. I treated myself to a few clothes - my Christmas present to myself.

The next day we had a go at glass blowing! It took us a long time to get the feel of it, but once we did we managed to make paperweights, birds and Christmas baubles. Overall it was fairly successful for our first try.

We spent New Year's Eve with some of Robert and Margaret's family. It was a great way to bring in the new year.
The next morning we bid farewell to Birmingham and headed for London.
