Well its been almost a month since my last entry and I'm sorry I have been somewhat neglectful of this blog! When I first started writing here, everything was a new experience, but by the end of March most of my days were similar to those previous, and so I haven't had much to chat about that wouldn't have involved repeating myself.
Life goes on in Melbourne for me much as it has the previous 3 months. I have settled in comfortably to living in South Yarra with Damien and Kris, and just about every day has been an absolute joy, even if its just because I am waking up to sunshine outside (thought quite often there are a lot more reasons than just that).
Most of my downtime this past month has been spent relaxing in and around the flat, often meeting up with Abi and Rob, and hanging out with the guys at Blue bar. I spent a weekend with Tom and Jill in early April also, but otherwise there have been little events to mention.
On the 5th of April I went back to the shrine of rememberance with my camera to take some more photos, when it was less crouded and when I could try and get a larger panoramic. After that I spent the day relaxing in the botanical gardens.
On the 12th of April I revisited Albert Park and St Kilda Pier, again to take some new snaps and hopefully grab some panos. It was a truely beautiful day, and I managed to get some great sunset photos across the water and towards the CBD.
My friends Scott, Stu, Lauren and Jess are all coming over to see me in Brisbane in June, and so I have been saving as much money for when I leave my house in South Yarra to head up there. We are still working out the plan for when they arrive, but its almost narrowed down to being a week in brisbane and a week in and around byron bay and the sunshine coast. I truely cant wait.
Otherwise, the only real day of note was my day at the Tree Top adventure my sister had booked for me for my birthday. I have done a full blog entry for it up at http://www.offexploring.com/ianoshorty/blog/victoria/belgrave/2012-04-23%2010:02:32 - It was utterly fantastic! Thank you sis!
My love to all back home in the UK, I miss you all and I'm thinking of you.
Ian.
