Today was our last day at the Spanish school, it was a tough day and our brains were finally fried all the way through!! We have had a new teacher for the last 3 days, who was more "teacher like" than Gloria. I think we learnt more but it was a lot less fun than it was and I didn´t have the afternoon giggles! Yesterday was our free surfing lesson (courtesy of the Spanish school). I (Suzy) didn´t think I would enjoy it that much, wasn´t too bothered about trying and really didn´t think I would be able to stand up at all! BUT...it was so much fun and I even managed to ride several waves from beginning to end (standing up)!! Ian was ok at it... ;o) He did enjoy it but not as much as me I think. If only Scotland was a bit more appropriate for surfing I would take it up...

It is friday, woo!!! We have just finished our 1st full week in the Spanish school and are pretty tired. It is sometimes quite hard but most of the time it is very enjoyable, mainly due to our teacher Gloria. She is the same age as us and we have discovered that me and her are very very alike! By Friday we are all a bit silly and me and her end up in fits of giggles quite a lot! Mainly because of the very random things that we talk about during conversation time ...

Today we went on the canopy tour which was basically zip lining in the forest, up seriously high trees! There were also two abseiling sections and a tarzan rope. I couldn´t honestly say how high it was but we have never seen trees this high in the UK. We were in groups of ten and went one by one down the zip line, but we all congregate on one platform (which was very safe and we were harnessed to the tree) but it was tiny and there was no space to move and it wo...

Today we went white water rafting with Becky and Lisa from the Spanish school. We got out the bus a little bit early so Izquiel (our rafting guide) could show us all the different plants and trees that were in the area (bananas, coffee, coco, lemon, cinnamon, spearmint, yuka and many more). We also came across a little hut that was used for drying vanilla. Becky tasted some vanilla from a pod and although it smelled amazing, she said it tasted like sweat...nice! ...
