Day 13 Wilderness day 1 We caught the bus and after a very touristy uneventful busride we were dropped off in our section (33) at the river bed. We had no idea were to go so we tried following our bear training, wide open spaces, so we stayed in the river bed (pain in the ass to keep crossing) decided to go against advice and cross the river in our sandles which was baltic. We ended up walking through a meadow on Stoney Hill. We stopped for a while then down the other side, we ended up in bear scat city, a berry patch extraudinaire, very worrying, shouting HEY BEAR! In the end we had to camkp near the meadow as some people were camping on the only safe place. We did our triangle ......tent, 100m food, 100m bear tin. It was a bit scary but we were shattered so slpt well.
