Day 4 - 11 March 2018
We left at 9am to Melbourne Zoo. The wonderful thing was that it only took us 5 minutes to drive there.
There were lots to do at the zoo. Of course, from the viewing of animals, to the shows and I think the kids enjoyed the playground the most. We had sort of a picnic-styled lunch as we sat on the grass and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves very much. I don’t know why they fancy the idea of a picnic. Perhaps, it’d mean that could still have their food while running around freely.
Le had a breakthrough at the playground. With a sliding pole that was quite high, he was very afraid that he would fall if he lost his grip. Very patiently, we encouraged him to take that first step. Meticulously, we asked him to first of all grab the pole, and then lean his entire body forward and finally use his legs to grip the pole. Once he successfully had a firm grip on the pole, he happily slid down the pole and repeated the whole fun over and over again.
We left the zoo at 3pm and drove to Alice’s house. We reached at about 330pm.
Like friends who haven’t caught up for a long time, we chatted away, had our dinner at their place, and continued chatting. Emma and I were enjoying their company over a nice bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc. I even continued talking to Charles - after the ladies retired - all the way until about 130am in the morning, this time with the Kavalan that we bought for him.
