Day 6 - 5 May 15
This should be the shortest entry for the trip.
We woke up at 730am. The weather was cold and it was raining. We thanked God that we had seen some of the notable attractions in Phillip Island. After breakfast and having packed all our stuff, we reluctantly bade farewell to Phillip Island and drove about two hours towards Melbourne.
It was shopping day today at DFO Moorabbin. As it was about 1215pm, we lunched at Cafe Maldini. After that, we roamed around the huge shopping outlet. The damage wasn't too bad; we only bought a pair of Ecco shoes for myself which fitted really comfortably and another pair for Le at 50% discount. By 3pm, we were almost done. Somehow, with kids, the idea of shopping and buying stuff isn't as exciting as before. And yes, we also bought gifts for some friends' and relatives' kids.
We went to the next one at The Glen in Glen Waverley. We shopped at the Target to get some gifts for the kids and also at Woolsworth to get some gifts for our friends. It was already evening.
We packed back dinner from an eatery that sells Lilydale's charcoal chicken. It was about 6pm when we arrived back at Alice's place.
The night was relaxing. It was just having dinner and playing with the kids. We got ready to put the kids to bed at about 845pm. As I am finishing up this entry at 1045pm, they are still sound asleep. Hopefully, it will be a sign of a really restful night, not so much for me as I've often slept well during this trip, but more for Emma who wakes up pretty frequently because of the demand from our second boy. Fingers crossed that both our kids will sleep soundly throughout the night.
