Day 11:
It was Sunday. We woke up at 845am and kinda recharged from the exhaustion. After breakfast, we left for church at about 1015am.When we arrived at about 11am, the room was quite a mess, with tables and chairs that were dirty. And the people who had arrived just did what they could as I saw some of them mopping the floor, wiping the tables and chairs with tissues and the sight of what they inconceivably did, brought to mind what it meant to own the church. Though simple acts of cleaning up, I was totally impressed. After the service, we dropped by a supermarket to buy the stuff for dinner tonight. We arrived back at Ps Henry's place at about 4pm.While waiting for Emma to prepare meals for all of us, we watched South African's version of "Just for laughs" on TV. Quite funny I must say.We had dinner at about 7pm. The chicken rice, the chicken, and the chicken soup were very delicious. I felt as if I was already in Singapore by just eating the food. After washing the dishes and chatting with the rest of the team, we went back to our rooms at about 945pm.Tomorrow, we will be going back to Singapore and I was overcame with a sense of ambivalence towards leaving Johannesburg and the church here and going back home for the routines of life (and for the ministry back home). If there is one thing I'd miss about Johannesburg, it'd be the church. I pray that it will grow stronger in maturity in all aspects and seeing the way in which Ps Henry and sister Lerato pour out their lives, I am sure that breakthrough is just around the corner. May the Lord bless this church and may this church continues to be the conduit that connect people to our Almighty God.
