Sorry it has taken me so long to write another blog. The internet at the campsite kept going down so I had to wait until i was back in Melbourne. The surfing was quite dissapointing at the end as they moved the last day to Johanna which is a beach about 2 and a half hours away from where Bells was so I couldn't get any transport there. Kelly Slater won. The waves weren't very good anywhere but I still went surfing with the South African family.
I stayed at the campsite a few days longer than I expected because I wanted to book a surf tour. In the few extra days I had the South African kids had their first day of school which was very cute and they were very excited. A girl called Kate had her 20th birthday so I went out with her and her friends, Rosanna and Mark. We had a good time but found out all the local pubs, clubs and restaurants close between 8.30-9 pm. We met some loacal our age at one of the pubs though and a few came back to our campsite to have a drink. The day after we all went into town shopping and I showed them the Chocolate Room with 22 different types of hot chocolate.
On Saturday 17th I woke up with ants on my tent but luckily I was leaving so I took out my stuff and sprayed insect spray inside and closed the tent up for 5 minutes. Marcus then came down and whilst I was packing my bag he dryed my tent and packed it up. Then got a lift tto Torquay with Rosanna and Mark and found the South African family surfing on the beach. Spent the rest of the day with them and got the train back to Melbourne at 4pm.
I am now booked into the Nomads Industry hostel until 24th April when I should be getting oon the Oz Experience bus. I have met some of the long termers at the hostel and they took me out the local market and the Irish pub. On Monday I went to Melbourne zoo and saw Mali the 3 month old baby elephant who they have only just start let walk around the elephant trail. The elephant trail is about 5 different enclosures which they connect by putting 2 gates across the public pathways so you can see the elephants walking right infront of you. Saw lots of aminals and got to stroke a wombat.
Today I might go to St Kilda and tomorrow I am booked into do a crime tour of Melbourne and I have been told at the end the pretend to arrest you so that should be fun.
