The sleep in Darwin airport was not much fun. They had announcements every fifteen minutes about different flights so I did not get much sleep. The plane journey was not too bad though. After arriving at the airport I called Serpent Hostel's shuttle bus to get me but they told me the wrong place to stand so I ended up waiting over an hour before finally being able to get to my hostel. After getting to my hostel I had to wait about 3 hours before I could check in....

Had a great few weeks in Darwin. Spent a lot of time after Kakadu just resting and chilling out as the last 21 days on Adventure tours had been very tiring. There is a very good backpacker bar called The Vic where they do free meals, usually chips or rice with curry or chicken. We went to Annie's on our first evening in Alice Springs. With our tour guide we could get a meal for $5 but the meals were very small. We stayed there for a long time as it is one of the only bars in the town. Gemma, Carla and I met 4 locals. Carla was very happy because 3 of them were firemen and were actually her height. I departed Adelaide at about 6.30a.m on 1st May for Alice Springs. We arrived in Quorn, our next 2 nights accomodation, in time for lunch.
