We are still camping at Stanley Lake at campsite #10 on the lake. This morning was cold. We got up a little later and ate breakfast at the campsite. Then we took off on our bikes from the campsite and followed the Stanley Lake Trail. The trail was really nice at first. It was easy to ride on and the Sawtooth Mountains were on our left. We rode through meadows and pine trees.
Then we started the rocky climb. Liam is amazing on his bike and Seth gives it his all. Matt barely seems to work and I'm pushing my bike up the rocky inclines.
Our first stop was Lady Face Falls. We stopped for a water break and Liam pointed at a trail and asked where it went and that is how we found the trail to the first water fall. It was by pure luck. We had to scramble a bit to find it but it was a nice little water fall. Later we found the sign that said "Lady Face Falls" but it is a bit hidden and high.
We kept riding, and sometimes pushing, our bikes up the mountains to find the next falls. Almost to the where the trail to the falls begins we met a hiker and he explained where the trail was and how to scramble up to see the base of the falls. We could see the top of the falls from the trail. So we parked our bikes and scrambled up to the base of the Bridal Veil Falls and ate a snack. Then we scrambled down, got on our bikes and rode our bikes back to the campsite. It started raining when we had about 10 minutes left of the ride so when we got back we got in the car.
We were hungry so the boys decided to go back to Papa Brunee's to eat pizza, again. Since it was still raining we drove to Challis which is an hour east of Stanley. We did stop on the way at a gas station to get firewood and the owners were from Medina, OH. When we got to Challis we stopped to get gas and the gas station was a full-service gas station but Matt said he would pump the gas. Then we stopped at a grocery store so Matt could buy orange juice, something he doesn't go without.
When driving to Challis we drove out of the mountains so it got warmer and it the scenery changed. Once back at Stanley, the boys were tired so we went back to the campsite and went to bed. It rained the entire time we drove around and the entire night.
