Today we visited Siena, the other "must see" in Tuscany besides Florence. The
Piazza and the Duomo were as spectacular as we remembered them from 3 years ago. Spent too much time
In various shops in my opinion (shoes, jewelry, clothes, leather goods, etc.) but Sherry and Shelley seemed to enjoy themselves. Had some wonderful Gellato in what looked like a brand new Gellaterie. After Siena we headed further south to a town called Trequanda that I'd read some good things about, but it wasn't that interesting. Then it was on to Montepulciano, famous for its wine, but essentially another medieval town perched on top of a hill. After that it was time to head back to Radda. Stopped at a "COOP" grocery store for some cheese, grapes, etc. for what has become our customary late afternoon wine and cheese snack. We once again had a late dinner at a nice restaurant in Radda, which for some inexplicable reason gave us these monstrous wine glasses (see pic -- the magnum size wine bottle is just the waiter being goofy). And so we toasted to our last night in Tuscany. It's been wonderful!
