Final destination of the trip is Cairns. All a bit sad that our trip was coming to an end and goodbyes were getting close. We boarded our sailing yacht in the pouring down rain at about 5pm, torrential weather with low cloud, poor visibility. Not quite sure this is how I imagined the Whitsundays would look. Left the cattle station, full of mud and wet from the rain. We went to a hostel in a small town called Emu Park. This was a great hostel where we had a huge Surf n Turf meal and a toga party (see pics). This was a great night!!

The departure from Fraser Island at 7am (another early start) was stunning. We saw dolphins again on the ferry trip and the weather was beautiful. A six hour drive to Kroombit Park Cattle Station. This is a working cattle station, but they have set it up as a farmstay for tourists to get a feel for living in the ouback. It was really cool. Left Surfer's Paradise and head to Fraser Island very early this morning. We went via Brisbane for a quick city tour. The ferry to Fraser Island was at dusk and with it being dark it was all a bit surreal. We stayed in little wood cabins and dinner was in a bar called 'Dingo Bar'.
