Hi everyone,
Moved into the boys' house in Morley over 2 weeks ago now and all is going well. The house is a 3-bedroom bungalow which is nice & spacious with a back yard. We did have a bit of a scare when a coachroach ran across the living room floor the other night - thankfully its been the only one, oh, apart from the monster in our room the other morning!
Morley is a suburb about 15mins north of the CBD. We are working in the Galleria Shopping Centre which is also in Morley.
We had a bit of a nightmare with jobs! We didn't start working until last week! We are now working at Target, which is a department store, kinda like TK Maxx. We're both working in ladieswear - full time, Monday-Friday. The job is ok and the pay is good, so we can't complain!
Haven't been up to an awful lot as we are trying to save money! Went out for a big night with the boys two Thursdays ago as it was Anzac Day on the Friday. Lets just say it was a very late night and Friday was definatly a duvet day! Saturday afternoon we went to watch Mount Lawley (a local footie side) play footie and had a bbq at Wayne's mum's in the evening. Last Monday evening we went down to the beach because they wanted to soak their legs in the salt water after their game for Dally on the Sunday!
Last Saturday Rose & I stole the boy's car and SatNav and went to see what Perth had to offer in terms of beaches. We went to Scarborough (much better than the Yorkshire version!) and Cottesloe. Both were very nice, but a little deserted as it wasn't the warmest of days! Even so we still had fun messing around with the tripod and camera - shots to follow!
Last Sunday we went with the boys to Gingin to watch the side from Dalwallinu play Gingin. It was a lovely day - definately warmer than Perth! It was an exciting game and nice to be able to watch and shout a few names! Dally finally won by 3 points - 78-81, a very tight Aussie Rules game! They were very happy they won, 1st win of the season, and seeing as they won only twice last season - definatly a moral boost!
We ended up going out in Perth and celebrating the win that evening. We ended up drinking Cosmos in the casino!!
The plan for the next few weeks is to work as much as possible and spend as little as possible! Then were going to do a tour up to Broome around the 1nd week of June. Spend a bit of time in Broome then fly to Darwin. We have just over a week to see Darwin and Kakadu National Park then we fly to Bangkok on June 30th. We have booked a 3-week South East Asia tour which will take us from Bangkok thru Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. From Singapore we fly back to Darwin. We are really looking forward to experiencing some different cultures and a change of scenery, and we should definatly get that with this tour!
Anyway its time to sign off, Speak to you soon
Love Hayley and Rose xxx
