Day 9

Woke up a little wet from all the dew. After we had packed up we went to Dales Gorge and did the walk we were suppose to do on the first day down to Fortesque Falls, which was much nicer in the sun. Walked through to Fern Pool (photo above) which was beautiful, like something out of the movies. We spent a while relaxing by the water and enjoying the sun.

At 11am it was time to leave Karijini National Park and continue our journey north to Port Hedland. We played Highway Bingo along the way to entertain ourselves, its amazing how excited evryone can get when you see a car! The afternoon was just driving, driving, driving through cattle station country.

We arrived at the cattle station after dark. The swags the group beofre us were soaking wet as the dew had already come down. Had a BBQ for dinner and chilled out with a few beers around the campfire for our last night of the trip. Some people didn't get to bed till 4.30 am, mentioning no names! Slpet out under the stars again in our semi wet swags. It was a much warmer night compared to those in Karijini when it was positively freezing!
