Hi everyone,

Last day in Brisbane today with Rose's family. Have had a lovely last few days. Friday we went into Brisbane to meet up with Laura and her friend Cat. We met Laura on the Perth to Broome trip. They have just been doing the east coast so we quizzed them over where to go over a few afternoon beers by the river!

Friday evening, Damien cooked up a seafood feast which was gorgeous. We had oysters, prawns and sea perch, yum yum! After dinner we watched the Olympics opening ceremony - which was pretty spectacular. We stayed up to 2am waiting for the Aussies to come out, they were second last!

Saturday Rose and I popped into the city again to get some last minute bits for the country. On Monday we leave to go back in to the counrty this time to Miles http://www.outbacknow.com.au/index.php?module=pagesetter&tid=31&filter=category:sub:240&cv=240 to work in the Winsor Hotel (another counrty pub) http://www.outbacknow.com.au/index.php?module=pagesetter&func=viewpub&tid=29&pid=156. Miles is 344km west of Brisbane, it will take us 5 hours to get there by greyhound. Fingers crossed we will have as much fun as we did in Dally. We will keep you posted.

Saturday night we went out for an Indian, which was lovely and then came back to watch more Olympics of the huge TV!

Today we are just going to get things sorted, pack our bags and then Damien is cooking us a farewell roast which im looking forward to as i haven't had one in oooo about 7 months!
