Sunday 13th March We were collected from our hostel at 7.30am to go to Copacabana (lake titicaca) which took about 3-4 hours. Lake Titicaca is considered the largest high-altitude lake in the world. At an elevation of 3808m, the lake is a remnant of Lago Ballivian, an ancient inland sea. Covering 8409 sq km, it straddles both Peru and Bolivia. Copacabana is on the shore of Lake Titicaca.
