Fantastic day! The falls is amazing and from the moment we walked into the state park, saw the rapids and heard the roar of the falls the excitement began. The Maid of the Mist did not disappoint and you get really close to both the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. We also got to go below the American Falls to the Hurricane Deck, this was an unforgettable experience feeling the power of the water and getting totally drenched! The park covers a large area which enables you to view the falls from all angles as well as explore small islands. We then crossed the Rainbow Bridge which took us in to Canada and gave us a great view of the falls face on. We decided to have dinner in Canada and came out afterwards to witness fireworks above the falls as the evening lights were switched on. It has been a really great day and the falls has well surpassed my expectations (I could do it all again tomorrow).
