Rushed breakfast in the Market in order to catch the 8.00 surf truck, but alas the time had been changed to later. Found another shuttle heading to playa el remanso which meant we could be back in time for Spanish lessons. Given we were no longer beginners (this our 2nd day!) we ditched the beginners boards (which had given us rashes and blistered my hands) for slightly smaller slicker versions. Rob struggled to sit on the smaller board when waiting for the next big wave, toppling off occasionally, but otherwise we stepped it up from day one and had some pretty long rides. That was until Amy surfed towards robs head, who in throwing his board one way, and jumping the other, managed to twist his ankle a bit.....yes, in the sea. Nevertheless, a good day with our boards. 4 hours of Spanish followed, then a trip out to the Nicaraguan culture show with all the Spanish school students and teachers. Stuck up the end with the weird teachers, having seen the Nicaraguan dances and had a couple of nica libres, made our excuses and left. Awoke in the middle of the night to a text saying we were an uncle and aunty again - our first nephew - congratulations Lilly and Sam!
