Tried to head to Chichen Itza ruins (one of the seven wonders of the world). All roads leading there blocked by locals because of some political protest. Last minute change of plan and headed south to Tulum. Checked in to a cabana, little shack type thing with a thatched roof and nothing much else, on the tulum beach, which occasionally had to share with iguanas. Extremely hot and enjoyed sunbathing on the dazzling White sand beach and swimming in the crystal clear warm water. Relaxed with caipirinhinas and caipiroskas (same, but with tequila we think? But defo not as nice), before hiding under our mozzy net and listening to the waves.
