On my way to see the fireworks festival when I get to the station I realise I forgot my map , remembering the station I wanted started with an m I got on the first train that arrived . The train was packed and the pushers were in full effect getting more on each train than thought possible ,so I find myself like a sardine face pressed between the door and some random Japanese .after about 8 stops no station with an m however the next station which began with an r was extremely popular so I got off to find my bearrings only to find a sea of 20 thousand people , now when in Japan and you come across a sea of people( well that's everywhere ) dressed in kimonos follow them because at some point there's gonna be a lot of food and plenty of beer and you might even get to see something pretty entertaining Or weird....oh and as far as the fireworks go they made the olympic display look like a backyard show well 150 000 people in kimonos don't show up for nothing..it's raining ash seriously no joke it's bizarre never seen anything like it.now the only problem is I'm on the outskirts of Tokyo in the suburbs slightly drunk ( which is a good thing as its legal in Japan for a drunk man to urinate in public that's actually a law ) with no idea how to get home.oh this could be a long night.well I guess I was right took me 4 hours to get back although there were a few drinks to be had on the way (the Japanese can't drink!).not managed to get the blowfish yet but maybe tomorrow having lunch with a local couch surfer who's from china hoping to pick up some tips or maybe a few free nights accommodation from some of her friends .
