Today we had our first day of real classes. I know we are here to take classes, but sitting in a freezing cold classroom for 3-4 hours everyday in what has to be the most gorgeous city in the world. Así es la vida.

This afternoon we skipped our siesta to climb a mountain that's right outside the city with our group. We walked at least 13 miles total and there are no words to describe how beautiful it was. As we climbed we overlooked the city and got to see the country side. At the top we were level with a helicopter as it flew by. There was a statue at the top and so many other things to see. We watched the sun set behind the mountains in the distance. There was also a church at the very top of the mountain. The inside was so pretty and there were hymns in the background as we walked through looking at the art. I still can't believe how lucky I am to be living in this amazing city!

Now we are getting ready to go to Lisbon, Portugal for the weekend. We booked out hostel and are planning what we want to do when we are there. ¡Estoy muy emocionada!
