Last weekend we went on a class trip to Granada and Cordóba. First up was a seven hour bus ride to Granada. We got there around three in the afternoon, which meant that we had time to tour stuff. That's exactly what I wanted to hear after traveling for that long; but not really.

Our professor from our history class was our guide. He is your stereotypical adorable old man. He did a very good job. He would play with the cats as we walked around the old Arabic castles. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

First up was a museum where we got to see the tombs of Isabelle, Ferdanand, their daughter, her husband and somebody's baby (they don't know whose). Also, in that museum we got to see a bunch of stuff from the church. It was actually pretty cool. Next we went to the Cathedral. No joke, it was as big as a small city and about -40 degrees. It was incredible.

Our group got to watch the sunset over the mountains, La Alhambra and the city. We have watched a lot of sunsets here, but this was absolutely amazing. The mountains are the second tallest in Spain and were covered in snow. Nothing could have made that moment any better.

That night we went to a Buffet Libre (all you can eat buffet). Everybody in our group was super excited for some semi-American food. By semi-American I mean they had pizza (different from American pizza) and pasta and ice-cream. It was amazing. After a day of traveling and touring it was amazing.

The next day we went to La Alhambra. It's an Arabic fortress/palace complex that's absolutely gorgeous. We spent the whole morning there. Everything was super pretty. We walked through gardens with fountains and got to see the amazing Arabic architecture.

After that relaxing morning we got back on our bus for the two hour ride to Cordóba.
