The Poo Pub night is a long running tradition in The Kiwi Experience, and is another night I had been really looking forward to.Its all about this guy Les, who is 83 and has been running these nights every night for the past 18 years.The pub is within the Lake Mahinapau Hotel (pronounced Maa-he-naa-poo-a, which is where the poo pub name comes from).Everyday a bus load (or is our case, two bus loads) of Kiwi people are told their party theme (our theme was 'P') and are given an hour in a local warehouse to devise a costume! We then all pile into the 'hotel' - I use that word in the loosest sense - its no hotel!! And Les and his lady friend cook us all the biggest BBQ I have ever seen in my life, and then we get into costume for a hilarious night of partying!

Its just such a funny concept for a night, and it really works.The pub is covered in Polaroid's of every Kiwi bus that has passed through over the past 18 years.The pub is old and smelly, but it just works.Everyone got dressed up - we had a Pacman, a piano, pubic hair, porn star, Paper Boy, two halve of a Polo packet, Pocahontas, Pippy Long-stockings, a priest and a puppet, and that's just a few of them.Everyone looked ridiculous - its was excellent!
