Today we walked down to the historic site at Delphi. We lucked out (again) and it was free entry - there are some benefits to travelling at Easter.
We walked all around the site which starts from road level and climbs up the side of the mountain. We saw the ruins, some restored areas, the ampitheatre and the sporting arena. Very cool.
There were bus loads of tourists - some of which were yank high school students. We overheard one complaining that he couldn't climb into this passage way because 'i'm like kind of claustraphobic'. Sounded just like something off the tv. Something annoying!
There are wildflowers everywhere as it is Spring and we did see some cats around.
After that we went shopping and then had some lunch. While we were waiting for our food the husband who co-owns the restraunt came back and his wife was yelling at him in the kitchen. I guess as they knew we didn't speak Greek (and there were only 2 other patrons who also did not) that they could go for it. It was entertaining. He did a lot of defending and you could hear him getting his ass reamed by the wife. Dinner and a show.
In the afternoon we hung out and had some drinks on a balcony of a cafe overlooking the valley and later on wandered up and down the main street and had some dinner.
Tomorrow we head back to Athens. Yay for another 3 hour drive!
