Today was Acropolis day :o) we walked up the stairs and hills and got in for free (again!) as it was Easter. The only downside was that the museum is closed Mondays so we didn't get to go and the the orginal pieces of the ruins that have since been replaced by casts.

It was good to walk around the site though and the view of Athens from there is very impressive. There were lots of tourists in high heels (hopeless - it's all uneven rock and slippery marble there!) and not much in the way of safety standards like we have at home. EG some very steep stairs with a big drop with no handrails etc... i was soooo careful as on my last trip I injured myself a couple of times and missed out on doing some things so i am being ultra careful this time.

No running for buses on cobblestones and falling down ramps etc this time!

We had several mini Gyros (souvlaki's in Oz) and had dinner later on. I was feeding the stray cats while the waiter had his back turned.

Tomorrow we are off to Santorini... yay :o)
