Yesterday was a chilled day with a long lie in followed by a dip in the hot glacier pools which we gained free entry to with our glacier trip. Today is going to be a long one. We have just begin our 10 hour coach ride to Nelson. Apparently our first stop is at possum Pauls cafe where there is going to be a television crew... Firstly yesterday... A failed attempt for out glacier trip. The weather was horrific... Electricity was in and out and it poured rain all day with flashed if lightning and cracks of thunder. Laura and I spent the day drinking tea with our duvets covers and watched frozen! Very apt. However today the sun was shinning and wind died down. We turned up at the glacier centre to check in and fill out the necessary forms before we got kitted out with boots, trousers, ...

The past few days have been much the same in terms of weather ... Rain and lots of it! 400mm in the space of 48 hours. It began on Thursday when we had a trip to Milford sound. It took 3 hours to get there and 3 to get back, including going through a tunnel down a mountain which took 20 years to build. Was amazing watching the car infront disappear down the hill...
