After a bit of a lie in I showered and packed my bags. We popped into town for a mooch to see what was about before getting our backs to swap hostels. Our new hostel owner informed us of a walk around the park and lake where we could see the geothermal activity of the area, so after some lunch off we popped. We arrived in Rotorua today at 3 am (!!!!!) after leaving Picton yesterday lunch time. We took the 3 hour ferry to Wellington then a 8 hour coach up to Rotorua. This was the worst coach trip if my trip so far. The bus was overcrowded, extremely hot and to top it off I was sat behind a person who clearly does not understand the importance of personal hygiene.
