Spent the morning gardening with help from Rose and John. Now all very tidy and 2 more apple trees in orchard. Wonderful weather-actually ate lunch outside. Went for a walk on the beach and later to the Towers for an excellent meal.

Easy drive up complete with apple trees, 4pillows etc etc. John and Rose arrived not too long after us and the weather was so good we set off pretty shortly to walk along the beach to Ebb's Nook where we looked for evidence of Time Teams dig in June. Virtually none to be seen! Lovely walk tho in beautifully warm sunshine. Back for supper at Nanny End.

Quick trip to Ambleside on way to Beadnell in the North East. Lovely afternoon spent with Graham and Val at Hawkshead Hill. Left Mother in charge of house and are setting off for NEEarly tomorrow.

What a difference a week makes! Wonderful sunny weather here temp 9c. Just up for the night and to have the boiler serviced. All the snowdrops and crocus in full bloom.

Seems very quiet here with only nine of us instead of the usual twelve. The weather is mild despite the snow. Drew, bless him, has worked hard trying to clear the drive-all 150 meters of it!! Just been out for a great family sledging event by the Lake and some snow sculpture.
