Good fun day at Charlottes. Had face pack-home made-of oats and honey applied by Jess!! Celebrated Mothering Sunday with Roast Chicken on Sat night as children and Andrew involved in rugby tournament all day tomorrow and we will make our way home after a lovely week away.

Cleared up and packed to go to baby sit J and D. Lunch at the Olde Ship. Crab sandwiches. Watched the children swim. Picture of Ian's unique way of stopping cores apples going brown!!

Rose and John returned home after a walk to Ebb's Nook to look once more at the scene of the Time Team dig having watched the DVD. Did some gardening, bought some beautiful smoked prawns and sole at Swallows for supper.

Trip to Holy island today. Rose and John loved the Castle that they hadn't visited before. Lunch at the Ship then stour of the Church and on 'Glass' beach. Stopped at Budle Bay on way back with lots of birds to watch. Supper at home with Craster kipper pâté and Bamboroug bangers.

Ian had another good cycle ride and we went for a walk on the beach meeting our friend Toad in the field on the way. Went to Craster for lunch at the Jolly Fisherman-crab soup of course!!walked on the path to Dunstanburg Castle. Called at Alnmouth on way to meet Charlotte and family at Stannington for dinner. Spectacular starlit night sky with amazing view of Venus and Juppiter very close and very bright.
